Barley Mill ( sleeps 6 )
Barley Mill is a luxury self catering holiday cottage beautifully located in Northumberland National Park, just 14
miles from Alnwick. This delightful detached property overlooks the Ingram Valley and St Michaels, an 11th century
church, to the north and open hills to the south.

Built
in the traditional style of an old Northumbrian farmstead, Barley Mill exudes period detail, with wooden flooring and
tiling throughout, exposed beams, and at its heart a beautifully appointed farmhouse kitchen with granite worktops,
traditional Belfast sink, cooker / hob, beech workstation and window seat.
The lounge is south-facing, with full-height windows and a door leading to the garden and patio, complete with teak
garden furniture. Here, you can enjoy those summer evenings, sipping wine beneath the stars and listening to the sounds
of the countryside beyond. Off the main lounge, you will find a separate snug complete with sandstone slab floor,
forge fireplace and log-burning stove - an ideal spot in which to relax and lose yourself in a good book. There is
also a shower room with wc on the ground floor.
The
first floor features a spectacular main bedroom with a king-size carved four-poster, an original working Victorian open
fireplace and a south-facing arched window. The ensuite bathroom has an air bath and two doors, thus offering either
private or family use. Two further twin bedrooms are located on this floor, one with a choice of twin beds or a super
king-size bed.
