With the weather slowly starting to warm up, golf looks like it’s back on the agenda for a lot of people, and where better to go than the luxurious green fairways of Northumberland? 

We have compiled a list of the best golf courses and clubs in Northumberland, ranging from seaside views to previous European tour venues.

 

Goswick Golf Club

This championship golf course offers 6,803 yards of year-round golfing bliss. It is situated in an ‘area of outstanding natural beauty’ and is not one to be missed.

 

Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course

Embleton, Alnwick

Located along Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline, this golf course offers challenges for all skill levels and ages, making it a perfect trip for the whole family to enjoy.

 

Seahouses golf club

Founded in 1913, this historic golf course offers a traditional picturesque 18 holes. Seahouses Golf Club boasts two of the most prestigious par threes in the North of England.

 

Bamburgh Castle Golf Club

One of the most scenic golf courses in Northumberland, this course offers spectacular views of Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne, the Farne Islands and the Cheviots.

 

De Vere Slaley Hall Golf Course

This is the furthest in distance from the Cheviot Holiday Cottages, but it’s worth the journey to be able to play on the former European Tour Venue. This challenging course is a thrill for any experienced golfer.
