The beautiful colours of the autumn leaves are not the only reason to visit Northumberland this October. There are plenty of spooky goings-on for both adults and kids to enjoy! We have limited last-minute availability for the end of October into November, so book your holiday cottage now to experience Halloween in Northumberland!
Here are some of the most exciting local Halloween events happening in 2018:
Bring your little ones in their best Halloween costumes to Manor Walks to meet the centre’s very own creepy crawlies. They can get their face painted, make some spook-tacular crafts, go trick or treating and be entered into the best-dressed competition!
Watch the garden come alive at Alnwick Castle! With haunted howls and a zombie infestation, are you brave enough to venture through the garden in the dead of night? This event is not suitable for children aged 11 years and under.
Little witches and wizards can cast a spell at Merlin’s magic school and join in on the Halloween-themed games and competitions. Pick your pumpkin from the patch and carve your very own lanterns to take home! There are lots to see and do at Whitehouse Farm this autumn.
Pick up a map from the welcome desk and see if you can find all the pumpkins hiding in the shadows of the museum colliery buildings! Your little ones will be thrilled to receive a small treat for completing the whole sheet.
There’s loads of Halloween fun for all the family at Cragside! Head to the visitor centre for frightening good fun, slippery slime, and gloopy goo in their slime extravaganza! Don’t miss the spooky parade day on the 30th October with a competition for best dressed and most unusually dressed, as well as scary storytelling and lantern making!
All these events are just a short car ride away from Cheviot Holiday Cottages, situated in the beautiful Cheviot Hills. For more information, get in contact!
